Live Review: Anna Lunoe 'B.D.D Remixes' EP

25 November 2014 | 10:23 pm | Isabella T

Off the back of 'Bass Drum Dealer', Anna Lunoe drops the single's remix EP.

Valuable Aussie export ANNA LUNOE is killing it all the moment. Since releasing the Skrillex mixed and mastered track 'Bass Drum Dealer' in June, the multitalented dj, producer and vocalist has been swept up in a wave of internet hype and buzz, with the track being label NEST's biggest release to date.

To celebrate the track's success, Nest HQ have signed on their most talented producers to rework the song on free EP 'B.D.D Remixes'.

However fans are treated to new Lunoe material with first track 'Midnight' which sees the EDM star team up with Sydney duo Wordlife. The gloomy track is a chaotic mix of frenzied beats, hard hitting synths and Lunoe's own sultry, whispering vocals. A true treat for any darkly inclined club music fan.

The rest of the EP finds esteemed Nest djs culling, creating and cultivating new beats and sounds within Lunoe's Bass Drum Dealer. AC Slater's take on the track finds the DJ placing the bassline at the forefront and adding a new set of vocals, which give the song an added dimension and depth. Next, Main Course's Wuki chops and slices the original work into a crazy, thumping head rush. Finally, Jubilee finishes up the record with a techno centric, dance floor ready remix.
