Glass Animals show off their intense set in London with 'Hazey' before they come to Australia for Field Day and Falls Festival next year.
British indie rock band Glass Animals whipped up quite a buzz when they released ’Pools’ early in the year, which led to a tour with eccentric songstress St. Vincent and a subsequent tropical album in ‘Zaba’.
The album which goes in tune with lead singer David Bayley’s fascination with children’s book 'The Zabajaba Jungle' (we did an interview with them), features 11 tracks with incomprehensible titles like 'JDNT', WYRD and INTRUXX, maintaining an element of furtive mystery.
While the album churns out hits like ‘Black Mambo’, ‘Pools’ and ‘Gooey’, a few of the titles we have gotten intimately familiar with, 'Hazey' features a wide range of new and unheard sounds that include finger-snapping beats, smokey vocals, exotic bells, Eastern-sounding stringed instrument and soothing synthesiser parts that exhales a deep breath of ethereal-ness.
Before they actually come before the Australian crowd with the grace of a peacock and the tenacity of a jungle lion, they have recorded a live video of 'Hazey' in front of a London crowd at a secret show.

While this is no great measure to judge their talents and majestic performances on, it does gives Australian fans a glimpse of what is in store for them before their set at Field Day, Falls Festival and their other side shows. You will have to be the judge of it in the mosh-jungle at the Glass Animals set this summer.
