Live Review: Flight Facilities Recruit Kylie Minogue For 'Crave You' Reprise

18 October 2014 | 12:00 am | Lauren Payne

Flight Facilities have released a video reprise of 'Crave You' and it's eerily beautiful.

As we all know, FLIGHT FACILITIES have been off the radar for a number of months and have now returned with a finished debut album.

The album features a host of new material, as well as some of the singles that we've heard over the past few years. One piece in particular has caught our eye...

The duo's 2010 single 'Crave You' originally featured the lyrical and vocal stylings of GISELLE, an extremely gifted vocalist who has gone on to produce some fantastic music, but now FLIGHT FACILITIES have released a video reprise to 'Crave You' featuring the one and only, KYLIE MINOGUE.

The reprise will be featured on FLIGHT FACILITIES' debut album Down To Earth, and is a stripped back piece that relies purely on MINOGUE's vocal abilities. Her voice echoes in a large empty room, with no music accompanying her whatsoever. The video is only short at a minute and 26 seconds, however that's all the time you really need to take in this haunting new version of 'Crave You'.

The video begins with the sound of a VHS tape being inserted into a VCR. We soon see a brief introduction before a figure stands on a messy mattress in a large room. As the camera slowly moves closer to the figure, we hear MINOGUE's voice echoing around us and suddenly the camera shows the singer herself, standing on the mattress singing 'Crave You' to an open window. It's eerily beautiful and nice to see such a collaboration take place.

Down To Earth is released in Australia on October 24 and will feature both the reprise and original mixes of 'Crave You'.
