Live Review: George Maple 'Talk Talk' (Official Video)

10 October 2014 | 3:46 pm | Lauren Payne

George Maple has released a very intriguing music video for her track 'Talk Talk'

She's blowing everyone's minds with her powerful vocals and intricate melodies, 'Talk Talk' is probably the best example of her talents. The track features pretty much everything we love about GEORGE MAPLE and now we have a new music video to pair it with.

'Talk Talk' begins with the most haunting of vocals, echoing over soft synths that hover around the vocal like smoke. As the vocals continue an energetic melody emerges, surging it's way into the mix before finally breaking out into and unreal climax. The build may pulsate more than the actual climax, but heavy builds and soft choruses always have an interesting effect on each other if they are structured in the appropriate way.

The music video for is even more intriguing than the track. The vocals on the piece are haunting enough but once you see the video, it takes haunting to a whole new level. Shot completely in black and white, the video surrounds a priest walking, with determination but no real destination. He walks from a desert plain into a lush forest and then onto the beach. MAPLE acts as a sort of narrator in the story as we cut to her many times throughout the video.
