The producer’s EP features the most squelchy of tracks, mixing garage house and deeper elements to satisfy the type of listener who enjoys the feeling of bass reverberate through their toes. He shared with us his top ten picks from SoundCloud and treated us to a collection of some serious tunes.

From House to R & B, POUPON has all bases covered. Here lies your personalised tutorial, prepare to be educated.

BILLON ‘Special’ Ft. Maxine Ashley

“These guys are definitely ones to watch! The vocals on this track are, to me, perfect crossover R & B/Dance vocals and the production is just spot on!”

CARIBOU ‘Can’t Do Without You’ (Tale Of Us & Mano Le Tough Remix)

“One of the biggest tracks of the summer, I like how Tale Of Us and Mano Le Tough kept it true to the original, but just making it a little dancefloor friendly.”

PRINCE CLUB ‘Eyes On You’

“Have to rep my boys Prince Club! Had this one sitting in my iTunes for a while before it got released with Love & Other and still bumping it on the regular.”

ISAAC TICHAUER ‘Sometimes’

“I usually like pretty much everything that comes out of the French Express camp, and this is no exception. This track is moody, melodic, dramatic and groovy- love it.”

KASTLE FT. LOTTI ‘Anything’s Possible’

“This song combines all kinds of awesome. Garage, R & B, Pop, Breaks, House- the production and sound design is wicked and the vocals are very nice.”

MOKO ‘Your Love’ (Mao Ra Sun Remix)

“I put this in my latest mix for THUMP and it’s really doing it for me.”

WALKER & ROYCE ‘Do Not Disturb’

“W & R are really dope producers, and this track shows that- it is so WEIRD but so awesome. I don’t know how they came up with some of the sounds in this track, but they all seem to work in some Frankenstein on MDMA kind of way.”

JOSH BUTLER & BONTAN ‘We Found A Place’

“Loving this new one from Josh Butler & Bontan- raw drum groove plus soulful vocals equals goddess.”

LIL SILVA ‘Don’t You Love’ FT. Banks.

“No explanation needed. Banks is a Goddess.”

SPOOKY BLACK ‘Leaving’ EP

“I don’t know what the real deal is behind Spooky Black, but it doesn’t really matter. His music is dope. Leaned out, slo-mo, emotional R & B. He’s the white Weeknd.”
