Live Review: PS CLICK GUEST MIX: Daktyl

3 September 2014 | 10:53 pm | Nick Luke

The Mad Decent affiliated producer of all things bass goes in on the latest 30 min guest mix for PS Click.

If you go to DAKTYL's official Facebook page, you'll see that under the 'genre' part of his bio, the young UK producer has entered in "??".

With a cyclone of enigmatic information surrounding the English-based producer, it's hard to pin down the specifics. Apart from his personal details, one thing is definitely clear amongst the haze of the internet: DAKTYL certainly has the goods. Which is why we enlisted him for this week's 30 min guest mix, exclusively for PS CLICK.

Affiliated with such labels as Trapdoor, Cosmonostro, and arguably one of the biggest forces in modern electronic music, Mad Decent (headed by Diplo), DAKTYL is certainly not going unnoticed in the realm of dance.

Unleashing genre-bending remix after genre-bending remix through his soundcloud account, backed by countless artists and labels, DAKTYL's tunes bounce from beautifully aethereal and darkly atmospheric, to lively and energetically bass-filled within the space of a few releases.

This was why it was hard to pin down just what kind of sound we should be expecting in this weeks guest mix, but when we were treated to it - oh boy were we satisfied.

DAKTYL managed to do the unthinkable and squeeze in a huuuuuge amount of party-fueled, bass tunes into the short span of half an hour whilst keeping his signature sound present throughout. No easy stunt, I'll tell you that. Don't believe me? Why not check it out for yourself, tough guy!

Yep, that's right, just the same as every week, we have uploaded our latest guest mix to our official soundcloud page for your listening pleasure.
