Live Review: Wookie 'The Hype' ft. Eliza Doolittle (Motez Remix)
Motez has remixed Wookie's track 'The Hype' and it's now dance floor gold.
We all know that MOTEZ is a wizard when it comes to remixing tracks and that is why when we first heard his rework of WOOKIE's 'The Hype', we knew you guys should hear it too.
The track features the vocals of ELIZA DOOLITTLE, a woman you may remember from various DISCLOSURE tracks and of course her own wonderful work. MOTEZ has made 'The Hype' dance floor ready and we will definitely be spinning it here for a very long time.
The original mix is driven by DOOLITTLE's soulful vocals and has a very sweet garage feel to it. WOOKIE has created a melody that frames a smooth piano track and has a steady beat that is a treat for your ears. The harmonies that DOOLITTLE performs perfectly compliment the melody. They're are highlighted in quieter, and practically silent, sections of the track but when they are paired with the stronger parts of the melody, they become a force that instantly makes you feel uplifted.

MOTEZ has added a few harder elements to 'The Hype' to create a full-on house infused track. DOOLITTLE's vocals are still as beautiful as ever as MOTEZ has kept them intact, however the sweet piano has been replaced with beaming synths and a strong build that breaks out into a certified dance floor filler. The hollow synths pulsate throughout the main sections of the track and we suddenly become infected with MOTEZ's brilliance.
'The Hype' will be released on October 13 but of course we can keep on listening to MOTEZ's remix and dancing the night away.
