Live Review: Flying Lotus 'Coronus, The Terminator'
Flying Lotus has released another single from his fifth album Your Dead! and it's gonna wow you.
It's now time to revel in the new sounds of the enigmatic FLYING LOTUS. We all know that the producer has a new album coming out very, very soon and now a new track from the album is available to stream and it's an eerie masterpiece.
'Coronus, The Terminator' may have a very menacing name, but the track is anything but. Without any initial vocals being provided, this track is pure FLYING LOTUS with the added extra of a haunting chorus. One of the most noticeable things in 'Coronus, The Terminator' is the soulful elements of the melody.
This melody has a deep groove that instantly becomes infectious which forces you to sway along whether you wanted to or not.

A simple beat provides a strong base for the track to then build a melody around. The bass line makes itself known early on and continues to be the tracks biggest force as it drives along. The vocals of the choir are lovely and layered, however deciphering the lyrics becomes impossible as they all seem to blend together in tones rather than words. 'Coronus, The Terminator' seems to be a very smooth and holy track with each synths melting together with an uncontrollable ease and the chorus making everything elevated and somehow, golden.
FLYING LOTUS will no doubt have many more surprises for us on his album Your Dead! which is due for release on October 7. This will be his fifth album and as we've already heard, probably one of his best yet.
