Live Review: Beni 'Protect' ft. Antony & Cleopatra (Official Video)
Beni has a new music video for his track 'Protect' and it's not what you'd expect.
BENI, one of Australia's most beloved producers, is back again with a new music video for us. With his collaboration with ANTONY & CLEOPATRA, 'Protect' making waves across the internet, we finally have a clip to accompany 'Protect' and it's probably not what you expected.
The track itself is fun and nods directly to 90's house. The bass marches through the piece and is highlighted against the house synths as they tend to stay quite tame. ANTONY & CLEOPATRA's vocals soar over 'Protect', their high pitched roars are one of the stand out elements that BENI has added into the mix.
The girl in the video (played by TRIPLE J's LINDA MARIGLIANO) plays BENI's track as she sits elegantly in her chair and her pet cat explores the wiring at her feet. It's a very simple video and emphasises the track rather than the video itself which is something many music videos these days tend to do; they draw your attention away from the music an towards the special effects instead.
