Live Review: Ballet School 'Lux' (Official Video)

4 August 2014 | 10:00 pm | Jessica Holton

Ballet School's official video for 'Lux' is filled with kittens, glitter and blank white walls. This is the perfect accompaniment to the pretty song.

The three ex patriates who all met in Berlin, BALLET SCHOOL must feel like their band is fate. The chance meeting of the trio has resulted in some seriously good music, and they are topping up their cool factor even more with their official video for 'Lux'.

Their extra creamy synth and pop fuelled beats are what make this band shine, especially as they all stand in a blank room staring down the barrel of the camera right into your soul. Lead vocalist Rosie contorts into some serious body rolls before her siren song lures you in even further.

Their enviable European wardrobe should be enough to make you want to take off to the airport, until the band stops you in your tracks with their punchy percussion and glittering guitar riffs. Rosie looks like Uma Thurman if she were covered in snow as she clasps a sleepy looking kitten, adding to the beautiful absurdity of the clip.

Pastel and electric dreams are realised while the vocal work shines in its late 80s glory. From flashing graphics to a smoking white rose, BALLET SCHOOL seem determined to shatter any predictions of what you may see next. If glitter, kittens, and babes are your three favourite things then the official video for 'Lux' just may be a dream you shall never want to wake up from.
