Live Review: Panama 'Stay Forever'

19 August 2014 | 6:03 pm | Lauren Payne

Panama have released a brand new track before embarking on their debut European tour.

After releasing their Always EP, Sydney band PANAMA decided to tone things down a bit and drop off our collective radars.

Luckily today they have re-emerged with a brand new track called 'Stay Forever'. The explosive track sounds bigger than anything they've previously released, but still has all of the warm vibes you feel whilst listening to PANAMA tracks.

'Stay Forever' is the first track we've heard from the band in a long time and of course they have chosen the perfect time to release it. As the song sounds a lot like the most satisfying time in your life would if it had a soundtrack, it's only fitting that PANAMA release it before their debut European Tour.

From the get go you know 'Stay Forever' is going to be a brilliant piece. The signature PANAMA piano track opens that track with a soft synth buzzing beneath it and soon, as the drums roll on in, synths burst out into the mix and ignite the melody. The textures in the track move together in sync and with the drums providing a brilliant backbone, 'Stay Forever' is able to use every element to paint a wonderful picture in your mind.

The band have not revealed any EP details and Future Classic are being pretty tight lipped about the release also, so if 'Stay Forever' is supposed to open a new release then we have no clue at all when it'll happen. The good news is that the track is available as a free download so at least we can own it now.
