Blonde have had their latest single remixed again and this time it's by a UK garage legend.
Not too long ago we were amazed by the sound of BLONDE as they released their debut track 'Higher Ground'. The Bristol-based electronic duo have been getting some serious attention across the globe for their music and of course now with KANT's remix of 'Higher Ground' circulated the internet, GRANT NELSON thought it was about time he gave remixing the track a go.
The original mix that BLONDE produced with the vocal assistance of CHARLI TAFT keeps things on a very light yet touching level. Atmospheric synths and delicate piano progressions really push the original work to new heights, but as we all know, when a great new track comes a long, an even better remix must follow.
GRANT NELSON, being a UK garage legend, has had his fair share of remix experience and this time around the producer has taken 'Higher Ground' into his territory and stretched it out a bit.

With deep synths bouncing beside slapping percussion, we have the garage elements working in sync with a few house synths also. 'Higher Ground' still keeps it's original vocal mix, with Taft's voice carrying the track still. The new melody seems to suit the vocals whilst also taking it back to a time where dance music was only just emerging.
GRANT NELSON has put his own mark on BLONDE's debut single and it's newfound flair gives it a dance floor life that we may be hearing for quite a while now.
