Live Review: Treasure Fingers 'Honey Dip'

3 July 2014 | 1:25 pm | Alean Penaflor

Atlanta's Treasure Fingers attempts to answer the question of 'what is a honey dip?' in his track 'Honey Dip'.

There's something about the combination of  the words 'honey dip' that immediately raised thoughts as to how heavily soaked in connotation this track's title was - that or it was simply my mind in the gutter.

Then again we're talking about TREASURE FINGERS here, whose most recent collaboration with ANNA LUNOE was the track 'Bad MF', so it wasn't that far fetched to read between the lines.

But upon pressing play and hearing the stutter of 'honey dip' repeated over and over again, with the incessant, unwavering bass-line and choppy synths, no further guessing was required as even more discussion of  'honey dip' and what it entails is actually revealed, with the vocal sample revealing it to be 'a girl with a big fat ghetto booty'. This is pretty much all there is to know about the song. A little over four minutes worth of those aforementioned things.
