Live Review: Chet Faker 'Song For Marcin'

Even if you don't like surprises, surely you like surprises when they come from someone as swoon-worthy as a one Mr CHET FAKER right? If not, this is your cue to leave.

Employing the same nonchalance with which CHET FAKER seems to live out his life, he has released a new track this morning. Simply, quietly, and without fuss. Oh CHET, this is why we love you.

All we have to go off thus far is a tag line left under the song by CHET FAKER himself which states this is an "Old song for an old friend". So whatever it may be, wherever it has come from - we like it and we don't want it to stop. The track 'Song For Marcin' has a bit of an odd feel to it. It is much less drawn out and relaxed, but is rather a little more choppy and busy than expected.

With some dark, warped vocals at the beginning to plucky strings at the close, this floaty short and sweet tune is the perfect pick-me-up to combat mid week slump syndrome.
