Live Review: Alison Wonderland 'I Want U' (Ganz Flip)
The first official remix of Alison Wonderland's track 'I Want U' has been released and it definitely is as good as you think it is.
The first official remix of ALISON WONDERLAND's track 'I Want U' has been unleashed. The track became popular within hours of release and with the producers first original EP being highly anticipated, of course fans would flock to anything involved.
ALISON WONDERLAND sure knows how to get her fans excited, with her recent Warehouse Party Tour almost completely selling out, she used this opportunity to show Australia what they had coming and once it arrived we loved it.
The Calm Down EP has a collection of great tracks featured on it and 'I Want U' seemed to be the most popular. There would have been high expectations cast over whoever was game enough to take on the first official remix of 'I Want U' and luckily Amsterdam-based producer GANZ, easily pleased us all. His rework of 'I Want U' has just been released and although it has been presented as a "flip", his interpretation actually stays quite true to WONDERLAND's original mix.

When you first listen to GANZ's remix, it's clear that he has taken all of the best parts of 'I Want U' and presented them in the most explosive way. The vocal track is used from the beginning with it being chopped over light synths before flowing organically as the synths begin to build. The song quickly drops into a heavy bass-driven section that instantly gets you moving and you can feel the energy being transferred from WONDERLAND's original into GANZ's mix. There is a lot of texture in this remix with the quieter sequences and louder sequences blending together to create the track. Each element helps the other and each piece becomes imperative to the entire remix, if something was missing it just wouldn't be this exciting.
