Live Review: SOUNDCLOUD WRAP: Beaty Heart

Despite only just releasing their debut album this year, the London boys from BEATY HEART sound like they’ve been around for a long time. And by that, I mean that their sound is so original and reformed, it’s hard to believe that ‘Mixed Blessing’ is only their debut.

They encompass this sound that mixes tropical synths with sunny beats and harmonious vocal lines, all to create this warm blend of sounds that can’t help but make you smile. Their single ‘Seafood’ particularly demonstrates this ethos.

Last week, we had a chat to Charlie and Josh from BEATY HEART. This week, the boys have been kind enough to give us a rundown of some of their favourite tracks in our SoundCloud Wrap series.

"The smoothest of all the SoundCloud ditties. Panpipes are so underrated and the pouring sample gets me every time."

"Our good friend and player in our live band Pat, got me into Bonobo recently (late on the boat, I know). This ARP 101 take on 'Eyes Down' is wonderfully wonky."

WILDCOOKIE 'Serious Drug'

"I've been listening to this record on tour a lot, and it soothes us into the long drives like a dream."

"3 great artists coming together in SUCH an eclectic jam. I was introduced to Future recently, what an exciting talent."

"I heard this on a Blundetto mix recently. Blew my mind."

ALCHEMIST & BUDGIE ft. ACTION BRONSON, DOMO GENESIS & BLU 'The G Code'

"Alchemist & Budgie, what more could you want? A friend told me about this record when were on tour. The description got me hooked and then I heard it... Wow."
