Live Review: Years And Years 'Take Shelter'

London based band and all round babes YEARS AND YEARS have released a haunting yet intoxicating new track called 'Take Shelter' for your listening pleasure.

The trio have been touring like maniacs ahead of this release and for good reason. With a track as catchy and inviting such as 'Take Shelter' it is hard for this reviewer not to feel a little bit jealous of all those lucky Brits who were able to catch the band perform it.

The vocals in this track are steeped with such a rich R & B backbone it is impossible not to find yourself drifting off into slow jam heaven. Coupled with the tropical styled beats and steady Deep House elements, 'Take Shelter' will be playing regularly on rotation very soon.

There is an element of old school R & B (old school meaning 2003) that makes this tune nostalgic and sweeter than ever. You can feel the influence of beat lords DISCLOSURE simmering in the background of this track, and why not? You have to give it to the city of London for providing us with some serious producers who do not like to skimp out on the beat, and enjoy saturating the listener in deliciously soulful vocal work.

Make sure you listen to 'Take Shelter' by Years And Years with the knowledge that your local Flight Centre is just a hop, skip, and a jump away. These boys will make you want to pop all of your life savings into a little European summer holiday and follow them around like a Deep House doberman.
