Live Review: Lana Del Rey 'West Coast' (ZHU Remix)
ZHU has released a new remix just in time for a pretty big announcement
With a variety of great producers emerging around the globe, where better to get them all on Australian soil than at Listen Out?
Last year the inaugural event brought DISCLOSURE, ALUNAGEORGE, CLASSIXX and JOHN TALABOT over for a fantastic festival tour and this year it's all happening again. Only a few days ago Stoney Roads reported that ZHU, one of the many fantastic producers emerging from the US, is to be the first act of Listen Out 2014.
ZHU doesn't have much information flying around the internet. All we really know abut this man is that he's a Californian native and describes his music as "¯\_(ツ)_/¯". Although a background is seemingly non-existent, we have a large catalogue of tracks we can refer to that show just how talented this producer is.

Recently ZHU released a new remix of sultry songstress LANA DEL REY's latest single 'West Coast' and it's sweet melody gives us yet another glimpse of ZHU's talent. The track broods in the beginning before breaking out into a tame house track that utilises DEL REY's vocals in both their natural state and distorted goodness.
The 'West Coast' remix uses a variety of samples to create it's melody with light taps and drops dancing on top of a stable beat. A few horns make their way into the track giving it an extra element that makes it all the more unique. ZHU has crafted a very smooth remix that makes for a great listen at really any time of day.
'West Coast' has a new face and ZHU has made it his very own. This producer has got something going for him and we can't wait to receive more tracks as they emerge.
