Live Review: TCTS ft. Sam Sure 'You'

9 May 2014 | 6:20 pm | Lauren Payne

TCTS gave us a great EP last year and this year he has yet another one on the cards and now we get to listen to it's first track.

Late last year we received TCTS latest offering in the form of an EP called These Heights. The Manchester producer has got something very good going for him as that EP got us hooked on his soft house melodies.

Sam O'Neill, the man behind TCTS, has been working on some new material since These Heights and after a short wait, we have some brand new material.

A new track called 'You' has emerged online and it is a very sweet number. Featuring the vocals of London vocalist Sam Sure, the new track introduces a new EP from TCTS which will be released in the next few months. Many acts take their time before releasing new material but the tracks that O'Neill has laid down recently most likely just can't stand to sit and wait.

'You' is a fantastic number that shows light house it it's best. A sturdy percussion snare pumps through 'You' with a deep piano track creeping alongside it. If you need a new song to dance along to, then this is exactly what you need. House synths are everywhere in 'You' but the good part about it is there isn't an assault of it charging right for your eardrums, instead each element of the track slowly turns with the melody creating a nice balance and keeping everything in order. The vocals of Sure slide swiftly between each piece of the track and it's basically the icing on top of this damn sweet track.

'You' is to be featured on his forthcoming EP Games which will be released later this year. These Heights was released through Greco-Roman last year, however TCTS has not chose to release his new EP through the label, he has instead opted to release his new collection of tracks through CHASE & STATUS' label MTA so keep an eye on that label for more news about Games in the coming months.
