Jacques Lu Cont has created a darker remix to Metronomy's track 'Reservoir' which you will love.

METRONOMY have been one of the most buzzed about bands of this year for a variety of reasons. The first would be because of the release of their latest album, Love Letters, which got everybody back onto the METRONOMY bandwagon after their little break between releases.

Then of course we were about to get the band to reveal their spot on the 2014 Splendour In The Grass line-up which is completely deck-out with great acts including OUTKAST, RUFUS and FOSTER THE PEOPLE.

Now after all that, we have a great new remix of the band's track 'Reservoir' which has been bubbling under the radar for quite some time. The original mix features a very upbeat melody created with light synths, keyboard samples and the sweet vocals we have all come to love. The track is very simple and very cute, kind of something you'd listen to at a picnic on a summer's day, however the remix is slightly different to the original with JACQUES LE CONT adding in a rise that creates a totally new atmosphere.

With the remix opening with beaming synths rising like a sunrise, the track slowly builds itself up by adding in the vocal track and very subtle tweaking samples that just seem to life 'Reservoir' until it reaches its disco-influenced climax. The vocals suddenly become chopped at the tracks peak and a tough beat stomps on in and pushes the remix on with the quieter synths still pumping through the track. The track keeps charging on with it's own groove and it has a bit of a darker atmosphere than METRONOMY's initial mix.

METRONOMY will be in the country for Splendour In the Grass and you can grab Love Letters physically and digitally now.
