Live Review: Lxury 'Playground'

14 May 2014 | 7:26 pm | Alean Penaflor

London's freshest producer Lxury releases the aptly titled, 'Playground'.

Your childhood years were either one of two things: 1. a cheerful memory of careless fun and endless playground adventures or 2. a time where you forfeited your Le Snak in trade of empty 'friendship' promises.

Whilst the latter may always be the cause of my trust issues , London producer Andy Smith aka LXURY lets us reminisce of the sweeter childhood moments, with his colourful track 'Playground'.

Whilst Smith may still be considered a fresh face to the music scene, he's done a pretty fine job of making his presence known with his track 'J.A.W.S.' making its debut on DISCLOSURE's BBC Essential Mix. Ready to impress once more, Smith adds to his body of work with the latest single, 'Playground'.

Taken from his upcoming EP, Playground (which you can get your hands on come May 19), the title track is a multi-tiered, musical merry-go-round of playful house melodies. The tune first welcomes you into its whimsical world with a chromatic piano run, an interlude that softly trails off and sneaks right back up, bringing its dance-element allies and child-like chanting as the main event kicks in.
