Live Review: Klaxons 'Show Me A Miracle'

9 May 2014 | 6:06 pm | Lauren Payne

Klaxons have released yet another single from their new album proving that they just keep delivering the goods.

With the KLAXONS releasing more and more new music, we now have ourselves an abundance of new electronic rave beats thats only this band seem to be able to hold down.

With the band about to release their new album, each track has been slowly trickling out of their back pockets and with 'Atom To Atom' already making waves, this new single should no doubt make even more.

KLAXONS have released a track called 'Show Me A Miracle' and it is a very laid-back track. There is nothing too difficult about listening to it as it becomes very easy to take in. KLAXONS have always had a good balance between their lead vocals and their melodies and with great synths pumping along underneath the vocal mix, both tracks seem to just blend well enough that both get their shining moment.

Opening with what sounds like a very structured melody, 'Show Me A Miracle' begins on a very good note. The huffing samples step alongside the light percussion whilst hovering synths create a very spacious atmosphere. A few distorted vocals have been thrown in there as well but it only pops up in certain places so your going to have to be quick if you want to spot them.

The whole track sounds like the perfect dance track for when you just want to let loose, whilst also being slow enough to be included in you lazy afternoon playlists. KLAXONS have placed a few dips in this track which creates a lovely texture so that we aren't just pumping through the same thing throughout its duration. With a quiet drop mid-piece, the percussion thuds on through 'Show Me A Miracle' with the synths framing it until all fall quiet and the ambient synths sit idle behind the vocals chiming "show me a miracle".

The KLAXONS new album, Love Frequency, is on its way to becoming one of the best releases this year with it's memorable melodies and strong vocals. The album will be released on June 16, so there is still a bit of time to wait and see what impact it will make, but either way, if we keep getting new tracks from KLAXONS until then, we'll have plenty to listen too before the release date.
