Live Review: WATCH: Duck Sauce 'NRG' (Official Video)

27 April 2014 | 9:50 pm | Lauren Payne

Duck Sauce have released their outrageous new music video for 'NRG'.

If you know DUCK SAUCE as well as we do, you'll know that pretty much every film clip they release is just plain ridiculous.

When Fool's Gold founder and all round great producer A-TRAK and house maestro ARMAND VAN HELDEN first got together, we saw them scouring New York City with friends and complete strangers singing along to their debut single 'Barbara Streisand'.

We then saw a group of office-workers with the duo's heads placed on their crotches in the music video for 'Big Bad Wolf' and later, A-TRAK and ARMAND VAN HELDEN played bigger parts in the film clip for 'It's You' by turning themselves into barbers.

After releasing their debut album Quack, DUCK SAUCE have released yet another ridiculous film clip for their track 'NRG'. The song itself is everything we love about the super duo from the punchy percussion, the energetic synths and just general fun sound that we seem to always hear. DUCK SAUCE put a lot of personality into each of their tracks so there may be some elements that generally sound familiar, however each track on Quack has it's own unique personality and 'NRG' is probably the workout track of the collection.

The music video for 'NRG' is probably one of the most ridiculous DUCK SAUCE music videos to date. In this clip A-TRAK and VAN HEDLEN start off as two sloths just numbing their minds in front of the television when all of a sudden, an infomercial for NRG Gel appears and the duo also seem to be assistants in the commercial.  As 'NRG' pumps along in the background, the video continues to tell viewers that the NRG Gel will help you dance better, make your old food edible again and basically do everything gel never usually does, ah DUCK SAUCE you've done it again.

Quack is available now through Fool's Gold and you can grab it on iTunes or in hard copy, whichever you prefer.
