Live Review: LISTEN: SAFIA 'Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds' (Young Franco Remix)

You might have heard lately that everyone's absolute favourite electro-cool trio from the ACT, SAFIA have recently burst back onto the scene with a follow-up single to their previous breakthrough track 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues'.

With 'Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds' already gaining a huge amount of traction over the last month, what better time than now to unleash the first official remix for the single by young Brisbanian beat-maker YOUNG FRANCO.

Taking the original downtempo vibes of the SAFIA single and re-working his nu-disco/house vibes into it with a hint of tropicano flava, YOUNG FRANCO's official remix for 'Paranoia, Ghosts & Other Sounds' takes the beat to another planet, full of steel drums, conga rolls, and pulsing bass riffs; all riveted together by great dividing kick drums and crisp hand claps - a sound that YOUNG FRANCO is becoming increasingly familiar with.

With YOUNG FRANCO recently bursting onto the scene and with an official signing to FALCONA, the Brissy local producer has seen approval with such legends as KILTER, PILERATS, PACES, ALISON WONDERLAND, and many more. I think it's definitely more than safe to say that this funky dude will be hanging around everyone's radar for some time! Keen to see what FRANCO has up his sleeve for his next original release!
