The Melbourne-native nu-wave duo known as CLIENT LIAISON boasts a pastel-motif of VHS-flashbacks wrapped up in a bold American Psycho-like tinge. Their latest video has us falling down the ol’ nostalgia-filled hole of retro-chic delight.

CLIENT LIAISON have been very busy boys of late. Touring around the country with their killer live show, working hard in the studio, and just generally being cool dudes.

One thing is for sure – this Sydney duo definitely have their sound and style down to a tee. Every last visual and sonic detail is so precise to a moment in time that it’s almost hard to believe this was released in 2014 (I mean that in a good way, of course).

Shot in good ol’ VHS quality, ‘That’s Desire’ is chock-full of early 90s nu-wave nostalgia. The pop-centric house track is built with classic piano stabs, drum machine patterns, and bold bass synths. From head to toe, from the setting of the video, to the crooning style of the vocals, to the inclusion of a classic face-melting saxophone solo, ‘That’s Desire’ coalesces into a distinct vision of style.

‘That’s Desire’ is taken from CLIENT LIAISON’s latest EP entitled ‘Free Of Fear’, which is limited to an exclusive run of 300 limited 12″ vinyl pressings. It features a pair of remixes courtesy of Com Truise and Knightlife, pre-order HERE.
