Live Review: PREMIERE: The Holidays 'All Time High' Live At Studios 301

The Holidays recently performed their track 'All Time High' live at Sydney's Studios 301.

Sydney outfit THE HOLIDAYS recently stepped back into action with one less member and a whole new brilliant album 'Real Feel', to follow up their 2010 debut 'Post Paradise'. Performing the record's second single 'All Time High', the band recently recorded a short live session at Sydney's Studios 301.

Now acting as an alternative to the original film clip directed by Dimitri BasilThe Holidays have allowed us access into the world of 'All Time High'. Lacking the thick lighting you would find bleeding through the band's stage presence, as well as loud wardrobes and filtered frames of some film clips, the camera work alone offers nothing but the promise of documenting raw footage.

So unembellished that we catch every emotion from each artist; their faces and body language encouraging enough expression to depict their connection to the song. The videographer also achieves the voice of the instruments, panning in on pushed pedals, plucked strings and vibrated bass drums.

Lending the dexterity of an extra guitarist and percussionist, the five musicians devote everything they owe to the life of this transcendent song. With a partitioning of the studio to isolate and properly encapsulate the drum skins from the Fenders, the overall sound has been beautifully captured, proving The Holidays' firm placement in Australia's illustrious music scene.
