Live Review: WATCH: Jagwar Ma 'Uncertainty' (Official Video)

4 February 2014 | 10:54 am | Lauren Payne

Jagwar Ma have released a new music clip before embarking on the St Jerome's Laneway Festival Tour.

After a bit of a quiet break, JAGWAR MA have returned to our eyes and ears with a brand new music video. As St Jerome's Laneway Festival kicks off around Australia, it's obviously a great time for Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield to release a fresh clip.

JAGWAR MA are set to play the Future Classic stage at Laneway Festival in 2014 and if you've seen the boys live before, you'll know how excited everyone should be about it. The new film clip is for a track called 'Uncertainty' that was released on Howlin' in 2013.

It's no secret that the MA family are incredibly talented. Jono Ma is obviously a wonderful musician who we've all come to love from his many bands over the years and his brother, Dave Ma, is an excellent director. Dave has worked with FOALS, BASTILLE and a huge host of other acts on their music videos so of course when his brother calls out, he steps up and gets ready to direct a wonderful clip for 'Uncertainty' in the middle of the Californian desert.

'Uncertainty' utilises a simple concept that has turned out to be a fantastic visual spectacle. Focusing more so on the landscape of the desert at night, 'Uncertainty' has kept it's eye on the wonderful visual effects rather than a storyline and complicated animation.

It's simplicity is was makes it beautiful, the shots are framed well and the band just seem to be getting lost in the night air with the stars dancing in the sky above them. JAGWAR MA have this aura that makes everything seem slightly more magical than it actually is and 'Uncertainty' depicts that wonderfully.

JAGWAR MA have a busy February a head of them with the Laneway tour before they jet set over to the UK for yet another tour making them basically travelling a lot over the first section of 2014. Barcelona will be seeing the boys at the Primevera Festival as well, so don't think the band will be slowing down anytime soon.
