Live Review: WATCH: Black Atlass 'Blossom' (Official Video)

Ah, the young and the restless. Montreal-based multifaceted producer Alex Fleming, better known as BLACK ATLASS is continually defying the laws of 'labels', and conquering the world whilst he's at it. Don't believe me? Catch this.

Erupting from the depths of his bedroom studio back on the new year's day of 2012, BLACK ATLASS came forth with his first ever EP, self titled. Chock full of head-turning tunes over just a short span of 18 minutes, the young producer raised a lot of interest - for example, the nice blokes over at FOOL'S GOLD records.

Fast forward to today and BLACK ATLASS is on the precipice of releasing his follow up EP to his debut, entitled 'Young Bloods EP' being fathered by the legendary label itself, yep you guessed it - FOOL'S GOLD.

The video for his latest single 'Blossom' from the upcoming EP follows the chiseled jawline of BLACK ATLASS himself throughout dark urban environments, through parties, roadsides and restaurants - all the while his stark facial expression left forever blank whilst his music and sombre vocals tell the story for him.

'Blossom' is filled with huge open drums and distorted, muddy synths that fill up the entire soundscape whilst remaining hollow at the same time. Laced with ATLASS' luscious vocals, 'Blossom' stays bittersweet yet introspective all the way as the video clip follows Fleming through the dark night.

'Young Bloods' EP by BLACK ATLASS is out on 18th Feb 2014 via FOOL'S GOLD records.
