Sydney's THE HOLIDAYS have recently been hard at work recording their new album 'Real Feel' and the final product has just been released!

We caught up lead singer Simon Jones and asked him for his favourite tracks on SoundCloud this week. We wanted a little taste of what THE HOLIDAYS have been listening too recently...

'Little Dragon are such a great band, we did a show with them at SXSW to a half empty room on the last night, and even thought the crowd was missing, Yukimi was the most brilliant performer I've seen, grooving in her own world while her Swedish band kept the beat.'

ERNEST ELLIS 'Black Wire'

Ernest Ellis put out an all time album, King's Canyon a few years back and now they're back with another one that promises to be as good.

CUT COPY 'Free Your Mind' (SPIRITUALIZED Version)

'Cut Copy have a knack for getting the best remixes of anyone ever, the Andrew Weatherall mix of Sun God is a modern classic. But this one is probably my favourite song of the past few months.

I mean getting J Spaceman to write a new Spiritualized track with your vocals over it, that's pretty nice. Especially when it sounds like it's straight from Ladies and Gentleman We Are Floating in Space.'

OLIVER WILDE 'Stomach Full of Cats'

'Have been hearing bits and pieces from Oliver Wilde over the past few months and I really dig the pretty psych/shoegaze/kraut vibes of his recordings, this chap's one to watch I think.'

MOUNT KIMBIE 'Made To Stray' (DJ KOZE Remix)

'Two of the best records of last year in my opinion came from Mount Kimbie and DJ Koze, this remix combines both on a recut of MK's brilliant Made to Stray.'

TORO Y MOI 'Campo'

'This is kinda old now but I only just discovered it yesterday so maybe others won't know it, random non-album track from the original sexynerd grooveshark.

Chaz is my go to guy for chilling and this track is like Curtis Mayfield on a sunday morning. The drums are notably excellent.'
