Live Review: WATCH: Diplo 'Revolution' (Official Video)
The Philly-based prince of twerk, DIPLO is back with a video for the title track from his latest EP, 'Revolution'.
The dutty prince of bubble butts, Philly-based DIPLO is back with his feet firmly planted on solid ground after his short sea voyage this year at Holy Ship 2014, and he's brought a little video with him.
The video clip in question is a solid collage of haunting and alluring imagery set to the tune of the title track from DIPLO's latest single 'Revolution', the track featuring the production duo of equal parts Danish and Canadian descent, FAUSTIX & IMANOS, and also the lovely vocals of KAI.
The first thing you discover when watching this video is that there's only a few seconds-worth of twerking throughout the whole thing. No intense butt-quakin' in a DIPLO video? He must've got it all out of his system with the MAJOR LAZER vid. I'm proud of you, buddy.

The video itself follows a few different, very loose story-lines, where each one seems to overlap at some point in terms of content and motif. At some points all the serious dramatic images start to feel a bit over the top and cheesy when coupled with the playful EDM tune, but it's still holds matter.
Overall, the video for 'Revolution' is probably taking itself a little bit too seriously for what it is. But hey, it's DIPLO, so I'm sure a lot of people will still hang in there with this one, I know we certainly are.
