Live Review: LISTEN: Night Cruise 'Sunsets'

A newcomer appears! From the far reaches of Perth a brand new producer by the name of NIGHT CRUISE has materialized over the last few days. You heard it here first, folks: This guy (or girl?) is gonna be huge.

Surrounded by images of 8-bit retro-isms accompanied by sounds of sizzling synths, fidgety rhythms and dripping basslines reminiscent of neo P-funk, the mysterious NIGHT CRUISE sits somewhere between hypercolour hyphy and super relaxed vibes while still pulling off a sound that screams personality and originality.

The debut track on his soundcloud, entitled 'Sunsets' is full of 8-bit fantasy sounds that fill every inch of the colour spectrum whilst staying completely white-hot and melting all the way through.

While it's still extremely early days for this unknown producer, he's hit a home run straight out of the gate. It wouldn't be surprising to see more of NIGHT CRUISE in the coming weeks, striking while the iron is indeed hot.
