Live Review: FREE DOWNLOAD: KLP 'Decide'

14 January 2014 | 12:51 pm | Hannah Galvin

Sydney girl KLP has released her new track titled 'Decide'.

Kristy Lee Peters is a Sydney resident who has buried herself deep within our noble music scene. Known by her initials KLP she's proven to be a great DJ, producer and vocalist, not to mention one of the minds involved with Heaps Decent.

Since rightly filling 2014's Triple J Unearthed Field Day performance slot, the girl has strung a song together that she played for the special set titled 'Decide'.

With the contrast of a stark yet bouncy bassline [sometimes] playing against an array of evenly delivered percussive elements, 'Decide' is set up with an interesting yet simplified instrumental section that plays jovially on the ears. Though what really completes this song is the spotlight on the double-tracking utilised on KLP's vocals. Varying in tone and density, it really welcomes space for this track to grow into; offering spontaneity and character that amounts to the nature of 'Decide'.
