Live Review: LISTEN: Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo 'You Love Me'

8 January 2014 | 2:28 pm | Nick Luke

Birmingham locals HANNAH WANTS & CHRIS LORENZO are back from the studio with a fresh club track entitled 'You Love Me'.

The Birmingham-based collaborative production duo that is HANNAH WANTS & CHRIS LORENZO are both back in action with a brand spankin' new tune, this time bringing house vibes and hip hop beats together in 'You Love Me'. You got chocolate in my peanut butter.

Seemingly taking a page from BRODINSKI's book, the duo have come together again to bring us a crossover tune that will be no doubt heard across the darkest and dankest clubs worldwide in the weeks and months to come.

Revolving around a female vocal sample, the beat fluctuates between build ups and half times, creating peaks of jackin' bass house and vast troughs of ghetto 808-kick trap. Despite the regular pace changes, the track feels very fluid and natural. If you do find yourself getting disorientated during this track, it's more because of the flattening bass runs than the pace flips, but it's a positive disorientation, more easily described as a "Holy shit, that's dope," moment.

Even though it's just over 5 minutes in duration, the track feels like it's almost over before it's started. Every part of it's structure feels necessary, there's no point within 'You Love Me' that feels recycled, either.

In summation, all that can be said is this: 'You Love Me' is quite simply a massive banger, mate. HANNAH WANTS & CHRIS LORENZO, you've done it again.
