Live Review: LISTEN: Flume & Chet Faker 'Drop The Game' (Surecut Kids Bootleg)

6 January 2014 | 4:21 pm | Lauren Payne

Surecut Kids have 'turnt' up 'Drop The Game', the lead track from Flume & Chet Faker's Lockjaw EP.

Back towards the end of 2013, we saw an EP that brought together the minds of FLUME and CHET FAKER, explode into the the stratosphere.

SURECUT KIDS most definitely liked the release to and because of it, they decided that the main track 'Drop The Game' should be given a little twist. The Gold Coast duo have evolved the single into a club staple which you can look forward to hearing throughout the summer of 2014.

With some deep house synths being added onto the already smooth synths that FLUME had used on the original track, 'Drop The Game' has now been turned into a cool track you can see making a mark on the tail end of your festive season. Great claps bring the verses to life behind CHET FAKER's ambient vocals and the sliding synths make for something that you can definitely recognise as the work of SURECUT KIDS.

Although this 'turnt' version of 'Drop The Game' does stay true to the original, there is a new flavor added into the mix that just makes the entire track brighten up a tad.
