Live Review: LISTEN: Aquadrop & Nadastrom 'Favelas' (RL Grime Private Edit)

No matter the amount of plays or fans that one can keep track of through their online presence, most musicians will continue to be in awe of the growing numbers gained with every goal reached.

A good inkling that this is the case is when these talents work even harder to release a special one off track as a means of saying "thank you"; just like how LA's RL Grime has with 'Favelas (Private Pussy Edit)' to prove his gratitude for hitting 100 thousand Facebook likes!

Coated in a thick, dark trap frosting, the prodcuer has incorporated Aquadrop & The Golden Toyz' 'Favelas' with Nadastrom's 'Pussy' alongside an array of all his own beats and principles that make up the sound of RL Grime. With a mixed up title against a combination of tracks and edits, expect a completely ridiculous mash of beats, tones and moods in the best of ways.

Briskly swooping in with just the vocals and soft beat of 'Favelas', the track is soon advanced  to a more ferocious tale, as alarming synths, angry beats and verbal shouts climb up and over one another as they reach for the next chapter of the track. Expelling a playful synth melody, the edit temporarily evolves into a toy shop before returning to the fight it had only just escaped. Weaving in and out of moods, the song shifts between samples, drops and vocal patterns for the entirety of its journey, proving to be both intensively serious and seeking a good time. Thanks to its flexibility, RL Grime's 'Favelas (Private Pussy Edit)' has resulted in a contagious listen.
