MUM @ The World Bar ft. ISLND, Night Bug + More

20 December 2013 | 12:00 am | Hannah Galvin

Head over to MUM at Sydney's World Bar this Friday night to catch live sets from a stack of great acts including ISLND and Nightbug!

Three rooms, eleven acts and one huge party is what MUM at The World Bar will be all about this Friday night. Heading over to the Disco Den will see Sydney four piece ISLND take to the stage. Not huge on most vowels, the outfit have developed their own sound that lies in a bed of trap and funk.

Taking influence from acts such as Cashmere Cat and Cut Copy, the boys have just started getting really stuck into business; employing lead vocalist Cal Roberts, involving themselves in Sydney's recent Electronic Music Conference and picking up support duties for The Aston Shuffle at The Standard next March! Joining the boys will see Sydney's Inner Westerns Platform 19 exchanging a groove for a boogie, our very own party guy PhDJ and MUM's main man Fearghal Delicious!

Stumble over to the Tea Room for a rendezvous with Sydney quintet Nightbug. Formed just last year, they've since released their debut EP Parallels and have been playing some sweet gigs around Sydney town. So to gain a loyal crowd for their final show of the year, make sure you're at World Bar this Friday night! Joining Nightbug in the room of intoxicated tea parties will also house locals The VSC, indie-popsters Ghosts Of York and the March Of The Real Fly gang swapping their instruments for decks as they'll be DJing on the night!

As always, show some love to The Tongue's DJ set, Bobby Gray and the fine folk that are MUM DJs over at Yo Mummas House as they'll be spinning juicy jams until you're all partied out.
