Live Review: LISTEN: Com Truise 'Declination' ft. Joel Ford
Com Truise has just released a new track which will be featured on his new EP Wave 1.
Everybody loves a play on words and when it's a play on a famous name of course it's even greater. COM TRUISE is the artist who's namesake you may have seen in Top Gun, either way, most people love him a bit better than that other guy anyway.
If you're a fan of a bit of house, mixed with some techno and a bit of a sinister atmosphere, then 'Declination' will be something you'll love. COM TRUISE has received mountains of critical praise from all over the globe spanning the past decade despite the fact that his music was born as a side-project.
This artist is by day, a designer, although it's his music that is catching everyone's attention. The strong synths that burst from COM TRUISE's work pounce on you like an enraged cat but in a good way (if that kind of thing is actually possible). It catches your attention straight away and 'Declination' does exactly that with it's brooding opening notes.

There is a crunch of synths and a demonic few notes before spiralling into a wonderfully distorted vocal track by singer Joel Ford. Ford's vocals lead 'Declination' into a bit more of a poppy direction which helps balance out the heavy synths that thunder throughout. This track deserves a good dance and I'm sure that won't be too hard with the bouncy beat that tends to sound quite sunny and bright whilst keeping a clear pace.
COM TRUISE will be releasing a new EP titled 'Wave 1 'through Ghostly in the next few weeks and 'Declination' will be featured a long with some more of his fine work.
