Live Review: WATCH: Crystal Fighters 'LA Calling' (Animated Version)
London based outfit Crystal Fighters have released the animated clip to their track 'LA Calling'.
A few months ago, Sweden-born London-based outfit CRYSTAL FIGHTERS gave us the official film clip to their track 'LA Calling'. Allowing us insight into their touring life, the video truly sends off a jovial vibe as they dance around the stage to their energetic audience. Following this particular clip, the band have just dropped the animated version to the same song!
There is no simple way to define this visual version of 'LA Calling'. Introducing both the band and song title, the clip enters a vast region of colourful play-fields, where you'll find little gravity and floating objects including singing lips, vines, eggs and spheres. Sometimes these objects form together and become portals for the next series of figures to fall through. Other times they're fleeing over textural backdrops, as well as passing through deformed shapes, oddities and astrological tokens.
Ultimately, it's a spectrum that is symbolic of filling the minds of the creative, resulting in you feeling oddly great as it works alongside the smile inducing nature of the song, 'LA Calling'.
