LISTEN: Burial & Four Tet ‘Unreleased’

Remember when FOUR TET said he was BURIAL? That was a joke, right? The half-anonymous collaborative duo have some banging tracks – some of which feature Radiohead front man THOM YORKE, but it’s been a while since a brand new track has been heard. Until now.

Recently recorded straight from a Rinse.FM broadcast featuring a DJ set from FOUR TET, the UK producer dropped an unreleased track from a collaborative effort between BURIAL and himself.

The untitled track is a stunning tune, which sits somewhere between having a chilled out vibe and being a deep dancefloor banger. Filled with choppy percussion, floating synths and a eerily manipulated Mariah Carey sample to top it all off, you can definitely feel each producers individual flavours within the track.

The clip itself is uploaded in pretty poor quality, even for youtube standards – but beggars can’t be choosers, we can at least be thankful that we even got a new BURIAL x FOUR TET track to begin with. I guess that was the intention anyway, as FOUR TET put it smugly at the start of the track “Hope someone’s recording this for YouTube.”
