LISTEN: Bodhi ‘No More’ (Charles Murdoch Remix)
Future Classic have a roster of acts that could slowly take over your music library. Every artist seems to be producing electronic masterpieces that are being played all over Triple J and getting massive downloads every day. CHARLES MURDOCH is one of the label’s wonderful artists who just keeps getting better and better with everything he releases.
The Brisbane boy released his EP earlier this year and it blew everyone away with it’s cool beats and intricate melodies. CHARLES MURDOCH is set for big things and of course if you don’t believe me, check out his latest offering and I’m sure you’ll find something you love about it.
BODHI are another Future Classic act that have been pumping out some rad tunes over the past couple of months. The Cardiff-based duo actually remixed one of CHARLES MURDOCH‘s tracks, ‘Dekire’, which was the lead single from his debut Weathered Straight EP.
The original track is featured on BODHI‘s ‘Imperfection/No More’ EP, but the remix is one track that is just perfect to chill out to on a wonderful night drive or wherever else you choose to relax. It’s deep synths tend to echo nicely throughout the track with the lyrics “no more” echoing through the track like ghosts or eerie voices that just won’t get out of your head.
The beat is very light and each synth sample flows really nicely making this not exactly an explosive remix, but one that is calm with a hidden power that draws you into it’s presence. The sunny synths that then burst like juice from an orange just brightens up the remix and you find something that just makes the track wonderful for anytime you feel like taking a listen. It suits anything.
CHARLES MURDOCH is currently supporting the lovely ELIZABETH ROSE who is embarking on a national tour with her top track ‘The Good Life’.
