Live Review: LISTEN: Blood Orange 'Fader Front Cover Mixtape'
Blood orange has celebrated the release of Cupid Deluxe and a cover story in The Fader with a brand new mixtape.
With a very smooth new album being released, how do you think a major artist would celebrate? Some would probably throw a few parties, others may just listen to it a lot, but BLOOD ORANGE celebrated the release of his new album Cupid Deluxe with a cover story in The Fader.
You would really feel warm and fuzzy if you were lucky enough to have a front cover story in a magazine, and so BLOOD ORANGE has actually decided to celebrate his cover story, as well as his album release, with a new mixtape which is chock full of fantastic tracks from some of BLOOD ORANGE, aka Dev Hynes', favourite artists.
BLOOD ORANGE's 'Fader Front Cover Mixtape' features many artists that inspired the musician as he was recording Cupid Deluxe. Listening to the mixtape, you can definitely hear those influences and it's kind of given the mixtape an entirely unique edge.
Ambient tracks are also thrown in with vocal tracks you may recognise from television shows or just general radio. It's a lovely celebration mix Dev has compiled and a grand way to celebrate the release of Cupid Deluxe.

Cupid Deluxe is available from iTunes now and it's a soulful experience that everyone should definitely check out.
