Live Review: WATCH: Elizabeth Rose 'The Good Life' (Official Video) + Australian Tour Dates

8 October 2013 | 4:42 pm | Hannah Galvin

Elizabeth Rose has just dropped the clip to her brand new song 'The Good Life', as well as announced its own Australian tour!

Sydney songstress ELIZABETH ROSE has just unveiled the clip to her most recent release 'The Good Life'. Filmed in a washed out tone, we monitor the life and surroundings of a young boy in his home.

Perceived as quite lonely, we're in sync with his thoughts as his family are caught up in their own dull environments, not once acknowledging or communicating with the rest of the family.

Following the lyrics, we soon learn that the boy is a daydreamer, so longing to escape his present rut that has dampened the overall mood of his family home and neighbourhood. His mind casts away to an isolated, free area, leading himself to the enormity of the ocean and the endlessness of woodland offering plenty of opportunity to explore. This is shot in much richer colours as it symbolises the boy's desire.

With lyrics like "I'm not here to stay / I will cut the ties and take off", it's definitely a song of hope and reaching goals. The clip carries the same message, yet proves the hardship and persistence this takes as depicted through the maze at the end of the video.
