Premiering last week, Dream Koala's new video transplants the viewer to an alternate reality with a breathtaking landscape inspired by the film Tree of Life

When we talked about DREAM KOALA's latest single 'Odyssey', we mentioned that he had just seen the storyboards of the track's official video clip. Annnnd I'm sure you can guess what comes next... it's time to watch the clip!!

Just to fill you in, Yndi Ferreira aka Dream Koala is only 19 years old and released his first EP under the pseudonym last month. He's already snapped up over 200,000 plays on Soundcloud as well as picking up support from the likes of Rob Da Bank and Gilles Peterson. And that brings us to the now, the video for 'Odyssey'.

Premiering last week, this gorgeous 3D video (created and directed by Adrien Peze and Albin Merle) transplants the viewer to an alternate reality with a breathtaking landscape inspired by Terrence Malick's film Tree of Life. Purely animated, this world looks crisp and clear, with some of the best looking areas going around. We really wish it was real.

Ferreira said this of the track itself: "Odyssey comes from the travels of Ulysses - his fear of never coming back home & never reaching his ambitions. It's a track about deception and the fear of death, the fear of never accomplishing your goals." And this clip works well to compliment all the intricacies and gentle instrumentation within the track.
