Live Review: WATCH: Canblaster 'I Think About U' (Official Video)

French producer Canblaster has just released the clip to his new track 'I Think About U', found on the Infinite EP.

Frenchman Cédric Steffens released his fourth EP 'Infinite' through Marble just last month under his moniker CANBLASTER. The third track 'I Think About U' has just received the video clip treatment, directed by Eliza Struthers-Jobin and Thibaud Noyer.

As CANBLASTER has previously explained (that can be found on Friends of Friends Network), his Infinite EP is made up of recorded sounds, samples and his own vocals that have been cut up and constructed into new beings. 'I Think About U' is no exception to this, as this is exactly how the track has been uniformed; complimented with the special effects of the clip to suit.

With the liquid-like glare of a bright blue sky, we follow both the path of a young blonde, as well as the hands of a pianist suffocating selected white keys, all through a psychedelic lens that at times bleeds two separate images into one frame.

With the repeated lyric "I don't know what I'm thinking about most of the time", these images fill our screen right up until the songs epiphany, where the persona announces through a spoken word sample, "but I know what I'm thinking about right now." It's from here on in that the title of the track is acknowledged, celebrated ambiguously through a selection of images noting consumerism, birth, development, entertainment, appeal and of course, love. It's a video that suits the theme of the track well, as both the audio and visual explore one another.
