Live Review: AUS PREMIERE: Cosmo's Midnight 'Surge' (Willow Beats Remix)

Here at PURPLE SNEAKERS we like to bring you the very best in new music. That being said we have a little treat in store for you - As the first taste in what is to be a new bundle of remixes of COSMO'S MIDNIGHT's debut EP, titled 'SURGE', the experimental beat duo WILLOW BEATS have released their re-imagining of the title track 'SURGE', and we are proud to be bringing it to you exclusively.

The vapory sounds of the original track have been turnt-down (in a good way) into an even more downtempo and cosmic headspace in the hands of WILLOW BEATS. The duo have worked their magic through manipulated sounds of mellotron's, screwed vocal cuts and broken, wonky beats sewn together to create an after-hours dancefloor-filler.

The upcoming remix bundle is being curated by the gracious guys over at YES PLEASE, although details about the release date, other remixers, and tracklist are being kept tight - for the moment - it is set to be a sure-fire collection of killer tunes.
