Live Review: LISTEN: Baio 'Banj'
Baio has just released his new Mira EP and we have a new track called 'Banj' from the man himself to celebrate.
BAIO's Mira EP is finally here! Today Future Classic released the Chris Baio's latest release which is enriched with sun-drop synths and sweetness by the bucket-load.
After hearing one piece of BAIO's material, you instantly fall in love and realise that this guy has something that you just want to own ASAP.
BAIO has released another track from the EP to celebrate it's release and this track is probably the best one yet. The tune is called 'Banj' and although you may think that I was supposed to type an o at the end of that title, you're wrong. BAIO is kind of known for producing tracks that have some not-so-conventional names and this is just another one of those creations.

'Banj' starts off with some wonderfully sweet synths before moving into a hollow beat that reminds you of drumming on wood. It's sort of a tropical meets tribal mix that BAIO has brought in here, you can hear each element as the track plays and it's got a nice beat that'll you'll love to listen to on a summer vacation. Lovely synth breaks are put into play on 'Banj' and it just seems to flow very naturally which is just plain brilliant.
Not dissimilar to LDRU's 'The Tropics', 'Banj' has the potential for an great summer jam with the echoing vocals just floating in and out during some of the songs quieter moments and really it's just a pleasant track that leaves you in a great mood. There have been two other tracks from BAIO's Mira EP that have been released and really, after listening to 'Banj', 'Mira' and 'Welterweight', we can all assume that Mira is going to be a great sophmore EP for BAIO.
