Ableton Liveschool Announces 4th Edition Of 'Input'

15 October 2013 | 2:32 pm | Tom Hutchins

Ableton Liveschool's quarterly conference INPUT is running its fourth instalment this November!

If you're a budding young producer, you know what it's like to have troubles when creating, distributing and promoting your own music to the world. It seems everyone that owns a Macbook Pro is getting in on making beats these days, so it's definitely not getting any easier to make your own mark on the industry.

INPUT is an industry showcase where the guys from ABLETON LIVESCHOOL come together with some of the countries best producers / labels / agencies / artists within the electronic scene and put on a series of industry based talks. The best bit? It's all for you baby!

As an official partner of ABLETON themselves, the LIVESCHOOL crew really know what they're talking about - and can help you get you closer to world domination. The guys are back with INPUT number 4 and this time around, and they're calling in the big guns.

Held at FBi Social in Sydney, on November 9, you'll be able to catch talks from the likes of:

RÜFÜS (Sweat it Out)

WHAT SO NOT (Emoh Instead)

VIC EDIRISINGHE (Astral People / OutsideIn)

ANTHONY GARVIN (Ableton Certified Trainer / Studios 301)

RÜFÜS will be talking you through their journey - from humble beginnings, to ARIA chart domination, focusing on the most valuable tips and advice they’ve learnt along the way (and wish they knew when they started out). They’ll also be showing you under the hood of how they took their studio produced album and turned it into an engaging stage show using Ableton Live.

Emoh Instead of What So Not fame will be sharing tips on how he overcame initial obstacles like music theory and sound design in his productions. He will also be opening up some of What So Not’s Ableton Live Sets to share the processes and techniques used within their tracks.

Vic Edirisinghe will be speaking from his experiences as co-founder of Astral People, as well his other ventures which include record label founder Plastic World, festival creator of OutsideIn, founder of hip-hop touring company 'Way 2 Fonky' and management of artists Rainbow Chan, Dro Carey, Polographia, Alba, Cliques, Preacha and Mike Who. Some serious industry insight.

On the day there will also be demonstrations of Ableton Live mixing techniques from Anthony Garvin (Ableton Certified trainer and Studios 301 manager) and the entire event will be hosted by Adam Maggs (Ableton Australia).

Each guest presenter will carry out their information in an interactive manner, making it more wholesome for those who attend. Not only will they unmask the essentials in the form of in-depth presentations, you can also expect workshops and Q&As in order for all of your questions to be heard and answered!

This informative event is ticketed, in order for those serious about their footing in the industry to gain the invaluable insight they wish to receive. The conference will run on 9th November from 1-4:30pm at FBi Social (level two of the Kings Cross Hotel). Tickets are available now for $35+bf HERE.

Don't dabble about though, INPUT has been known to fill seats!
