SOUNDCLOUD WRAP: House Party Edition with Nina Las Vegas
Who once left regional NSW as a classically trained pianist, NINA LAS VEGAS broke into Sydney city life as a radio producer. Since becoming a city slicker, she’s teamed up with Diplo and Levins to create record label Heaps Decent, joined forces with Anna Lunoe and Bad Ezzy for HOOPS and landed a weekly segment on-air with Triple J for her show House Party; later adding in Mix-Up Exclusives to her generous resume.
Currently on the road for the second national Triple J House Party Club Tour, NINA kindly stepped out from her busy touring schedule to quickly talk us through her top ten favourite tracks going round on Soundcloud at the moment.
What a legend!
DJ FUNK ‘Three Fine Hoes’ (SINJIN HAWKE Remix)
“Sinjin Hawke has made this already powerful club joint even heavier. In a good way.”
TA-KU ‘We Were In Love’
“Sometimes I want Reggie to chill out on releasing new music and then he posts a song like this!”
KASTLE ft. JMSN ‘Death From Above’
“Both JMSN’s vocals and Kastle’s production makes my heart melt.”
BANKS ‘Warm Water’ (FIGGY Remix)
“Jerome LOL played a lot of Figgy’s edits in his Triple J mix. Since then, I’ve been obsessed.”
ELIZABETH ROSE ‘The Good Life’
“By far, her best work to date. Working with Shazam and Styalz is a smart move.”
BAY AREA RAP ‘Gap Pedal’ (PIPES Remix)
“What a banging version of Bay Area Rap anthem ‘Gas Pedal’. I’m a sucker for both Pipes and anything on the Body High label, so it’s no surprise that this song got me.”
RYAN HEMSWORTH X LIZ ‘Day N Nite’
“Ryan Hemsworth all day erry day times a billi.”
HAYDEN JAMES ‘Embrace’ (Version)’
“New Hayden! New EP!”
COSMO’S MIDNIGHT ‘The Dofflin’ (WAVE RACER Remix)
“WAVE RACER is gonna be big.”
RÜFÜS ‘Take Me’ (CASSIAN Remix)
“Touring with Cassian on the House Party tour has been amazing. Although this track is old-ish, Cassian has reminded me how much I love his version of this Rufus track.”
