LISTEN: Anna Lunoe ‘Breathe’
It’s been a massive 12 months for our own house princess, ANNA LUNOE. After notching up a couple of massive collaborations with Flume, Touch Sensitive and AC Slater, she paraded up and down the country smashing out huge club shows (including a stop at CANT SAY) and now she’s just began her very first North American tour.
The tour, which started earlier this week in Vancouver, begins with a number of dates opening for the R&B crooner, The Weeknd. Before she makes her way down the US West Coast, including a number of festival appearances. It’s a long trip, but a very special one, so to celebrate Lunoe has just released a brand new single.
Entitled ‘Breathe’, it continues to showcase Lunoe‘s unique throwback house style, as well as her unique ability to write, produce, and sing to perfection on her own records. Beginning with some super old school beat and rhythms, the track seems to fall somewhere between early 2000’s techno and 90’s house. But mid-way through, an extremely pop based vocal hook is thrown in and pushes the vibe back into 2013.
She may not be able to “breathe”, but Anna Lunoe certainly can create. As aforementioned, ‘Breathe’ is a massive throwback to her influences from yesteryear, but there are more than enough intricate details and pop sensibilities to send this track onto dancefloors across the world.
The Breathe Single Package has just been released by Fool’s Gold / Ultra Music.
