Live Review: FREE DOWNLOAD: Safia 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' (Indian Summer Remix)
Safia are about to release a remix package for their track 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' and Indian Summer's remix is the first to be released.
Canberra-based outfit SAFIA have emerged from our political capital with something awesome to show us. With their vocalist Ben Woolner cooing like a modern day RAY CHARLES, SAFIA are coming out on top with their cool new track 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues'.
The track is nice and smooth with the lovely falsetto of Woolner's voice floating over the synths and drums created by band members Michael Bell and Harry Sayers. 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' is really quite a lovely, slow track that soon builds up to become a wonderful party track ready to be played pretty much anywhere.
'Listen to Soul, Listen To Blues' is being released next month as part of a remix package for the track. The original will definitely feature on the package as well as a series of awesome remixes like this one here that SAFIA have decided to share by their mates (and ours) INDIAN SUMMER. The Melbourne-duo have given 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' a very neat mix making it summer-ready as the new season rolls around kind of prematurely (it's really hot where I am okay).

Beginning with that lovely cooling vocal over some light synths, the remix again builds up like the original until it breaks into a heavy beat that has some really technical synths accompanying it. The track sound really digital, but of course it's probably the most danceable track you'll hear today so dance along if you're listening to it, I know you want to.
INDIAN SUMMER have a knack for creating some pretty sweet remixes. their remix of SINDEN's track '$100 Infinite Kung Fu Vixens' received a hell of a lot of plays and of course their own Foreign Formula EP has been one of the most exciting electronic releases this year, so of course their remix of 'Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues' wasn't going to disappoint.
The Listen To Soul, Listen To Blues Remix Package also features remixes from SPENDA C, AKOUO, LEADERBOY and PIGEON will surely be a fantastic release, but whilst you listen to INDIAN SUMMER's rad remix, keep an eye out for all of these guys as well. Listening to their rendition of the track will surely be something exciting.
